INTRODUCTION

Having recently completed my Computer Science degree I am now looking for programming work in the computer games industry. Programming has been a hobby of mine for many years, in which time I've written numerous computer games. I would now like to be part of a team, contributing my efforts to a larger project.

My third year project was titled "Mesh Parameterization for Texture Mapping", and was about the layout of polygonal meshes in texture space (i.e. assigning UV texture co-ordinates automatically). This has lead to "Mesh Painter", a texturing tool that I am currently in the early stages of developing.
I got a first in my 1st year exams (which included a number of mathematics papers). For my finals, I was awarded the Hoare Prize for the best performance in Computer Science.

WORK HISTORY

2004 Cryptography work for PAOGA (http://www.paoga.com/), where I was responsible for designing and implementing a module to perform encryption, password hashing, and random number generation.
2003, 2002 Voluntary work selling Christmas trees on peak days and raising money for a local Sea Scout group.
2000 Two weeks of work experience as a computer assistant with SHB Hire (http://www.shb.co.uk/) assisting with computing maintenance and web design. Afterwards I was paid to do some further programming work for the company.
2000 Assisted a year 7 science class on a voluntary basis each week for a year, in particular helping and encouraging one child who had extreme spelling difficulties.
1998 Two weeks of work experience in computer graphic design at The Cottage Studio, Dorset.
